The E3 blower door is light, powerful and has a variable speed controller. The fibreglass fan is the most robust available. It is available in 110v or 230v. The E3 is designed for testing residential and small commercial buildings. For example, it can test buildings up to 3,500 ft2 by 10 ft (325 m2 by 3 m) with leakage up to 10m3/h/m2 or 8.9 ACH @ 50Pa. The system can be increased to accommodate up to 3 fans for larger premises. We also supply units for large commercial and industrial applications.
Infiltec has written software specific for the Irish market and BER assessors. The software provides 2 reports. One is a basic report intended for the end user and provides information such as overall leakage area explained in easy to understand terms, for example all the leaks added up is equal to a particular size window left open. It aslo shows the resultant extra building air volumes to be heated daily. The second is a full technical report including the calculations required for the DEAP software.
Weather Station
After a visit to Ireland Infiltec designed a weather station specifically for the E3 blower door. The weather station includes a tripod, temperature sensors for inside and outside, a barometer and an manometer. This can be connected to the DM4 to help get very accurate readings even in windy conditions.
E3 KIT
The E3 kit consist of the fan, DM4 controller, variable speed controller, cloth door, multi-hole low flow gauge with 7 holes and plugs, all hoses and cables. Software is also included.
The cloth door is air tight black nylon and extremely tough. It's edges are elastic allowing simple fitting. The Light aluminium lockable cam frame fit 122—221cm height and 61-99cm wide door frames. A Hard carrying case is included. Extensions are also available for larger doors.
